The Beckoning Dream is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game where you embody Dreamers - agents of change and discovery - who explore the Dreamlands using decks of tarot cards you construct. Play is "pillarless", allowing conflicts to take any form and resolve in any way you see fit. Play cards based on the suit of your approach, comparing values to determine mechanical potency. But watch out - the wrong card at the wrong time can get countered, leaving you open to your worst Nightmares. Learn - gain experience - and improve your deck with new cards and abilities that change the way you play.

Deck-builder meets Narrative Improv in a brand new experience for the tabletop.

We are more than skin and bone. Our blood is quicksilver that boils when we love, fight, and cry. Our flesh is stardust woven to hide our hearts from a world that hates truth.
This is why we need dreams. They let us fly. They let us die. They let us love and lose and wax and wane and tear ourselves apart so that the morning might find a greater sum of these confusing parts.
We dream to remember to live.
We live that we might dream again.
We dream to remind ourselves of ancient truths we all know because we wrote them. We burned them into the firmament and then blotted out our eyes so that we might see them anew.

This is where the first story was born.
This is where the first hope lit a fire in the first heart.
This is where we failed.
This is where we forgot.
This is where we fight to find ourselves over and over and over and over and over…

Because as soon as we stop, those things we built will tear us apart. They gift us angst and disbelief until they can claim it all. They will eat our dreams and leave us to gorge on saccharine defeat. We will rot. We will stuff our mouths with hopelessness and become the waking dead, content in our clock coffins, waiting to return to a form that can’t remember what was lost.

The dream needs Dreamers like you who think dreams are worth fighting for.
Come dream with me. Let me teach you.
